Question about
Periodically loses contact
3 times since purchasing this I have had to reset the server (using the reset disk not just a reboot) because the network interface stops working - I can't see the box from the router and can't see the network from the box. I have searched online but so far no useful info - anyone else have experience with this?
I had to send the first one of these back to Amazon. Then the second came w/exacty same problem & ended up sending in to Acer support (after a 2 hr. call). The fixed one has finally been rock solid for 2 months

Sometimes mine will disappear from the network but all my machines do that occasionally. If I make shortcuts in my favorites to the server I can usually jump back on but I have almost never had to reboot it and have never had to use the reset disk. Had it since the first week it came out. Using PP3 now with no issues.

To me, WHS was the issue, it is problematic and filled with issues, I have successfully installed win 7, server 2008 R2, and linux versions without any hiccups, but going back to WHS always had problems. I didn't try WHS 2011 and probably wont, I got completely burnt on that product.
