Can someone walk me through the experience of using a Kindle for reading the NY Times? I live in NYC and I am hoping to pick up a Kindle during the holidays this year.
Is there a monthly fee if I already have a paid NY Times account? Can the daily issue be beamed to my Kindle over WiFi? Is the content on the Kindle *that* much worse than the online and print editions? How is the overall experience?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about whether you'd have to pay more if you already have an account. Yes, it will be automatically downloaded to your Kindle every day over whatever connection is available. Navigation isn't too bad. There are buttons that let you jump to the start of the next article, and you can access a list of sections, and articles in those sections. The articles are all there, I'm pretty sure. Not sure about the photos (there are photos, but I haven't compared with a print edition to see if they're all there). Some of the non-article content is missing, such as the scores and ranking boxes in the sports section and the stock tables. If you're getting it with your account you already have, there's no harm trying it and seeing what it's like. Even if you aren't, you can get a 2 week trial to see how it is.

- 1
- Be complete and thorough. Don't skimp on the details!
- 2
- Try not to answer with a question. Because that's not really an answer, right?
