Now the Google has shut down the store, How could I get ahold of one without being a developer that makes apps? Or is that impossible?
I've got an Android Developer Account and the Nexus One is, unfortunately, not available for purchase in the development devices section of the market portal.

Depends what country you live in for instance if you live in Britain you can purchase it from Vodafone.

Want to buy mine? Make an offer! :-) Perhaps there is a place online where such a sale could be arranged where you wouldn't have to worry about whether I am a scammer or not.

Amazon is selling the Nexus One unlocked at incredibly cheap prices. I got mine for $270, which is an amazing price a smartphone with these specifications. To put this in perspective, the Wildfire S which has about half this phone's power and memory is selling for over $300. THE best deal ever!
