Question about
Now that they are up for Order any one still interested?
Well, it looks like they are finally up for sale.
the up site up at www.jawbone.com/up and you can order them. they have a three to four week ship time.
the app is also live and downloadable from the apple app store.
since they will be on sale at the brick and mortar stores i think i am going to wait and see before i drop another 100 bucks on one of these types of devices.
the site shows, best buy, apple, target and oddly enough AT&T as places to buy.
so any one still interested?

I'm still interested but I bought a Fitbit (www.fitbit.com) last summer (they've also just updated the product) and I've been very happy with it. Not to mention that it synchs through the web so there's no concern over iOS vs. Android or what-have-you. Which means, I guess, that I still think the Up is an interesting product but I, personally, won't be buying one for a while, if ever.
What I do hope, however, is that the current interest in products like the Up and the Fitbit continues to push companies to innovate and release more and better versions. As ever, competition is a good thing and I hope it will eventually bring us the one product (or two, or three) none of us can, er, "live without".

The required ios turns me off a bit. I guess I could use my ipad but I keep it at home mostly.I knew from the start it would support ios but not be what seems to be an exclusive.I was very interested and I still am but my excitement has gone down.

I'd like them to make a way to access your information just through a browser or make a browser/ desktop OS app as well (I think their UI would look good in chrome). Of course they would have to secure it, but this data isn't necessarily damaging so long as you don't give it your actual identification, ss#, or genetic code. Then again, insurance companies .....

I'd love to have one; alas, there is no Android support, and only a sad non-answer about whether there ever will be Android support. The following is from an administrator on their community site:
"Thanks for asking about the Android app - we're working hard on this and will be sure to provide more updates as we have them. Stay tuned, and welcome to the community."
Not even a decent "Yes, we're creating an Android app". As great as Up looks, it's not worth having to deal with Apple.

I'm on Android, so no for me. If they ever launch and Android app, then maybe. But I doubt it.
