Nokia Lumia 800
Is the Nokia Lumia 800 worth getting just to break the monotony of the iPhone?

I don't know. I have an iPhone and a Lumia 800 and I've really stuck with the Lumia, but I think boredom is usually not a great reason. You're still doing the same function. On the other hand, even though I know my iPhone is a better handset and I'd choose it if I had to choose one, the design and UI of the Lumia/Windows Phone has kept me using it. If you can afford it, might be worth it. I wouldn't switch full-time, though.

If you're in it just to break the monotony of having an iPhone, try getting a Blackberry. It's a cheaper option than getting an overpriced Nokia. I have been doing it for the last 3 years and I always end up wanting to go back to an iPhone. Just ditched a last gen BB Bold for an iPhone 4S.

I will echo asilentecho's remark. I choose Lumia over iPhone (just ditched my iPhone 4) because the user experience is more fluid. Besides the regular (email, calendar and pda function), the most function that I use the phone is for social interaction (facebook, twitter, etc). This is where Lumia works much much better than iPhone. I am tired of keep switching the app between viewing my twitter and fb stream. App like Seesmic doesn't cut it, since it is still not unify. I want them to be singe experience.
Both Lumia 800 and N9 changes my usage pattern of the phone. I am no longer "app" centric but more to "task" centric.
