The Nokia N97 does not come with the much improved Nokia Email client. You have to download it yourself. However, I can not figure out how to put this app on the homescreen! Does anyone know how to do this?
after you have installed and set up the email client, just long press on the email home screen widget. you will see a choice for "settings". once you go there, you can set up which mailbox you want to use. choose the mailbox you have set up in the email client. unfortunately you can only have one email widget on the home screen, and therefore only one mailbox in the home screen widget. hope this helps.
Go to this URL email.nokia.com/account/home.action
Then just follow the steps. It should send a link to your phone via SMS and you just follow it and the email client will download onto your phone. To access it go to applications and scroll down to email.
I installed it but I can't see any of my emails. I see the accounts I can send emails but don't see any of my emails. Does this work wit the new update? I updated my firmware today ...
Does anyone know if the HTML e-mails are coming though properly? Just read that Nokia Messaging is support HTML but I haven“t heard feedback if this really works well. Thanks all, Jonas
well then, since you're so clever and accepting of advice, clearly you don't need to ask for help. if you're not seeing formatted html email, you're not using it, or not using it correctly.
I heard the HTML email support was going to come to the N97 in the next update for the email client. I thought it was the last update but I can not seem to get it to function. Anyone get it working in the current version?
I also wish the attachment system was a little easier to deal with but overall not a bad client. The push seems to work quite well.
