Question about
dusanmal

No one yet have talked about BIOS and "re-OS-ing" of this laptop.

My question is: Is there a BIOS, can it be accessed, can user boot from external USB drive,... can user install something else as OS on it? If this have been built by Apple I'd suspect fortress-like blockade of such path, but it is Google... maybe they are not so evil?
My reasoning: this is one of rare cases when the end user does not need to pay MS tax (directly by buying PC with MS OS or indirectly because manufacturers are wrangled by MS on price and availability of non-MS-OS machines). Also, I'd bet that Google would want to price it at attractive (if not money losing level) price to get initial foothold. Hence, whatever specifications end up in the real machine offered to customers, they should beat similar existing netbooks by a lot.
I have absolutely no interest in ChromeOS but great interest in quality built and cheap-as-chips netbook to be converted to generic Linux. As ChromeOS is "linux based" I suspect that there would be no drivers and capabilities gotcha's.
