I like this netbook, but was disappointed that it did not come with a recovery disc. Of course had it come with one there is no drive, but as soon as you start using it the acer software starts asking you to make a backup.
My question is is there a way to use the burner in a desktop PC to burn a disc? I've heard of being able to use another PC's drive to read a CD, but what about burning? In the event I need to use the restore disc could I actually restore my netbook using a shared drive?
Why not allow backup and resotre from a USB drive or a memory card?

No backup disc
You can order a restore CD from Acer for about $12. Takes all the hassle out.
