Question about
New iPad keeps endlessly checking for Mail without downloading or updating anything.
Restored my new iPad from a previous back up held in iCloud. After the restore the iPad hasn't updated any folders in Mail, it just endlessly keeps "Checking for mail" without actually updating nothing. I've already restarted the iPad, quit the Mail App & done the two finger reset but it's still the same.
Consider going into the mail settings and re-inputting your email password.

If it's a corporate e-mail account getting frozen, then make sure your iPad is all backed up to iCloud (or backup in iTunes), reset your iPad to factory settings, and set up your corporate account again. This happened to a friend of mine.
