My ScreenPlay 500 recently started to make a lot of noise.... I have to tilt it or place it horizontaly in order for it to stop...

does this mean it's gonna die soon? Anyone else having the same issue?

Its a well known fact that Hard Drives do make some different kind of noises, and its usually a good idea to back them up and replace them...
