My kindle 3 won't turn on. How can I reset it?

Can someone help me?? My kindle 3's screen appears off, but when I try to turn it on, it doesn't. I tried the 15 second reset but it didn't work. I know that the battery is fully charged because the green light appears and just in case, I left it charging a whole day anyway.

What happens when you plug it into a computer via USB? Can you read the internal memory?
