My Dell D610 keeps shutting off after being on for about 1 minute

This is most likely due to an overheating CPU or Graphics chip or failing power supply. If it is not actually turning off, but the screen is going blank, then it is likely a bad LCD Inverter. Try hooking it up to an external monitor and see what happens.
