Question about
My camera hangs once in a while when taking photographs. It just does not get into working mode till I either remove the lens and put it back.
When I say it gets stuck it means, it shows F-- instead of a fstop and all other things on screen are garbled.
Forgive me if this answer seems simplistic but sometimes the basics are overlooked.
I'm not an SLR expert but you can try some basic trouble shooting that applies for all situations similar to this. It sounds like removing and replacing the lens may be resetting the camera when a sensor detects the change of state.
Use the process of elimination to determine when and why this is problem is happening. I would try things like changing SD cards, lenses, battery packs and what ever else you can. Also, try placing the camera in different modes to see if that causes the problem.
By doing these various things, you may be able to determine what conditions cause the problems and take steps to fix it. Your camera may also have a firmware update available, check with the manufacturer.
Hope this points you in the right direction.
