my airplay icon is no longer on my ipad 2

The Apple TV upgraded the other day and everything was fine. I mirrored everything on my ipad2. Today I wake up to find I can't mirror my ipad2 as my airplay icon is gone. I turned the ipad2 off then back on but still no airplay icon on my ipad2. #wtf

Are you sure airplay is turned on on the Apple TV? Is it logged in on Home Sharing? Is your iPad? Does it show up on iTunes on your computer/other iOS devices?

Thanks for your reply eithel.
I turned my ipad 2 on and off several times and the icon finally showed back up. It seems every few days I must clear my password and add it back again to be connected. I'm about 12 feet from the Apple TV so I'm not sure what's going on.

I don't know why the icon showed back up but I'm glad it did. Mirroring the ipad 2 to view movies and tv shows on my Vizio HDTV is awesome and is the reason I bought the Apple TV. ;)
