Music Player Shuffle keeps repeating the same few songs.
I use the default music player for the phone a lot but my main problem is that when i set it on shuffle, it just keeps shuffling through the same 5 songs, sometimes repeating the same song twice in a row. How can i fix this or whats a better app?
Well you can try Rock ON which is a great app with 3D effects, otherwise are you telling it to play all songs or an album. I don't think i have ever had mine play the same song twice, unless i was just trying to listen to album.
It's not set on a single album or artist, and i've tried party shuffle and regular shuffle. it keeps flipping through the same few songs. its a rarity if i hear one i havent heard before.
Yeah i just tried it and it worked fine for me, maybe its just a bug or a rare occurance. I would try one of the other music apps like rock on or Mixing and see if that works out better.
It plays either the most played or highly ranked over and over again. Try going through and ranking all of your music. Tedious, but it just may fix the problem.
The same thing happens on my Magic. I'm not sure what causes this, but I have a feeling it's like iTunes "party shuffle" where the music it plays is random, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't repeat the same songs over and over again. Hopefully it gets fixed, since it really is annoying.
I haven't seen it and i have over 400 songs, with party suffle i get a good mix of music, but i think abusethedog has a point are some of the songs that repeat rated. None of my songs are and. Never mind I managed to duplicate it and I remember why it does this. Party shuffle only picks up a handfull of songs to play not the whole library. That was the point around party shuffle plus it might have to do with the repeat settings on the side. The work around to this is to go to songs>menu>shuffle all and that should eliminate the songs repeating more then once.
So party shuffle only picks about 10 or 15 songs to shuffle through so if you want your whole library you have to do the shuffle all option. It sucks but i think it was a feature, and my girlfriend confirmed it only picks up a hanful of song sand shuffles them, which is why you are getting repeating songs. More or less it just picks some random songs and just plays them without shuffling.
Yeah it was the party shuffle. It only picked a few songs and kept replaying them, sometimes twice in a row. But i switched to shuffle all songs and its much better.
