Microcracks or paranoia?

I've had my Nexus for about a month now (and loving it), and I just noticed about three tiny scratches on the screen near the edges. Now, if this were a normal person typing this, this would be normal -- in fact, there should probably be more scratches, if anything. However, I have yet to drop a cell phone in my life and this baby has never even been set on a hard surface since it's always in the case...

My worry is that most people with busted N1 screens say it begins with a hairline crack or some microfractures. If this is the case here, would documenting these potential fractures be proof enough to HTC that it was not due to mishandling? Or should I quick buy a SquareTrade warranty?

Thanks in advance.

If there is a real problem with screen cracks on the Nexus One, I expect that HTC will eventually acknowledge it. My guess is that they have received so few complaints so far that they are not taking them very seriously. As the numbers mount (if they do) They'll have to do something about it or risk class action. Remember the iPod Nano!
