Method to move Menulets across the Apple Menubar?

is there any method to move menulets across the Apple Menubar? I know of the  (Apple) Click trick, but it doesn't work for all apps. It's quite a pain really to reset everything on the menubar the hard way by timing it correctly using the Startup items in System Preferences.
