Mac OS X requirements

www.apple.com/ipad/specs/ states the Mac OS X requirements as Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with iTunes 9.0 or later.

Does that mean the iPad will not sync with Mac OS X 10.4.11 with iTunes 9.0?

This was a surprise. I got an iPad today, and found out I can't use it because I have OS X 10.411

Wonder how you can confirm? A show stopper for me, as I'm looking to sync to an older PowerBook that I don't want to put Leopard on.

It kind of looks that way. I was set to buy one but will now reconsider. Just not ready to upgrade from 10.4 which has worked so well for me.
