Question about
Loudspeaker isn't so loud
I noticed on some days my phone alarm wouldn't go off, or when playing music it would be really soft. So after some quick searching online I found out that quite a few people have this problem. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what they did to solve it.
Thanks
Lax
p.s I ordered a new midplate after opening it up (after buying some t5 screwdrivers, damn the phone makers)

The midplate finally arrived (I got it from bit.ly/4yjOHp) It cost me £15 in total for the right screwdrivers and the part itself, fitted it and the speaker is louder and clearer than when the phone was brand new. Easy and relatively cheap fix.

We've had a few of these where the loud speaker craps out and have had them replaced by O2 UK under warranty (these are business contracts)
Not sure if being dropped / knocked damages them, but I have had three people come to me with this exact problem

I know you already fixed it, but I thought I'd add my experience. I had the same problem with my 9000. It always got tons better if you take the back cover off. For a little while I put a small, folded up piece of paper under the back cover, which helped take pressure off of the speaker, but that solution didn't last more than a week before it got crappy again. AT&T replaced my phone for me, as it was still under warranty.
A coworker also had the same issue with the same phone, and putting the paper under the back cover also helped him for just a few days.
Hopefully this can be helpful to anyone who can't get their phone replaced under warranty, or who needs to get by for a few days while a new phone gets shipped out to them.
