Hello everyone. I recently purchased this video camera and a 16gb sdhc card (ps. the sd card does not lock in the slot, unless I push it in firmly and hold it closed for awhile)
The camera works well for all of 14 seconds without the SD card, but when I put it in the first time an exclamation mark showed up over the SD symbol on the LCD. I reformatted the card in the card reader, and it worked so I turned off the camera. The next day , it has the exclamation and I reformatted again and test for a few minutes and it works. The 3rd day now, the day of the event, I turn on the camera and there is now a question mark over the SD symbol and no buttons will work,
I am in the process of waiting to try out another SD card, but I am wondering if the problem is the SD card slot, or the SD card. I would really appreciate any advice and input from those who have experienced this as well.

Kodak zi6 won't work with SD Card, I get ! and ? & SD card slot won't lock.
It doesnt sound good.. def not normal. the exlamation sign comes up on mine when the card starts to get full... the card not locking properly is not a good sign.. kodak has a one year warranty on this camera. i advise you exchanging it for a non-defective one
