I haven't noticed anything in particular that would make this happen. While watching a show you can sometimes see the kinect hand come up in the corner letting you know that if you wave your hand then you can take some control. When it happens though I don't notice the menu or voice menu having come up. However, I'm positive it's kinect that is causing it since I haven't had this problem since. It's weird because we'll have many times where it is very loud in the house and kinect doesn't seem to cause a problem then. It usually happens when we're just quietly watching a movie and no one is up and moving around a lot. I think there may be times where it's picking up audio from the show itself. I had it fast forward through the same section of a show 3 times in a row before I gave up watching that section. It think it was picking up audio from the show and got it confused for a command.

Yeah, the kinect hub for netflix was pretty much garbage. I always go through the regular interface.

You might try recalibrating the audio for kinect maybe thru the netflix hub? also make sure your speakers are in front of the kinect itself (this is from Microsoft) having your speakers behind the kinect or too close to kinect will cause issues and if the content playback is setting off kinect this could very likely be your issue

we have our kinect up as high and as far back as it will go and this puts it very far from our surround sound speakers give it a try

Unfortunately not, recalibration and moving it a little didn't seem to work. I just unplug kinect now. Since I don't play many kinect titles.. I guess I'm ok with it. :)
