Question about

Just updated my Nexus S to Android 2.3.3 and now the screen has an odd washed out or yellowish tint to it.

Apparently some others are complaining about it as well:

Honestly, what is wrong with Google? The Nexus S is supposed to be the one handset that DOESN'T have problems with Android, and so far the Nexus S has been plagued with one issue or another.

Thanks for the headsup, what with the removal of facebook sync and the NFC chips not really being used, I think I'll wait.

Edit: oh lord, I hadn't read the link properly before. So they meant to do this? Ouch...

The new color profile certainly isn't displaying colors accurately, but Google is right in that the profile the Nexus S/Gingerbread 2.3 shipped with was displaying dark tones with a purple/brown tint.
