Question about
kris

Just spilled isopropyl alcohol on my iPod touch while cleaning the screen and it appears some of it got inside.

Now I have this hideous blotch distorting 1/4 of my screen. Will the alcohol eventually clear out, or is my screen permanently messed up?

Any advice as to what to do while I wait it out? I've turned the iPod off already.

Since it's alcohol rice probably won't make a lot of difference - unless you want undrinkable sake as well :p

Allow to evaporate completely before use.

If there are impurities it might result in some blotching.

I'm pretty sure alcohol evaporates easily, so with time I think it'll be ok.

Crossing my fingers for you. Long live Pikachu iPod!

hi Kris! i had the same problem today. i was trying to "fix" the home button with the alcohol solution but some of the alcohol got inside the screen. now the bottom left corner has a circular spot that is way brighter than the rest of the screen. You can still see everything on the screen and the "touch" is still the same in that part. The only problem is that you can see the bright mark on the screen.

my question is, did your screen came back to normal after time passed?
