Just read the review of the Windows Phone 7 UI by Engadget, and was impressed.

Any thoughts on the OS, UI or phone series in general?

Actually, I think many foresaw this coming. Since it was introduced, Microsoft said nothing at all about if there will be any UIs running on top of it. As a matter of fact, they've said the complete opposite;"WP7 will have specific guidelines for developers." (Not in those words exactly) I will still be impressed with how Windows phone 7 will look UIs on top or not.

I few things I don't particularly like:
1. Bing as only search engine.
2. No flash, silverlight, html 5 video support.

The camera app seems awesome though.

The interface is sure unique but I would of preferred it being standardized across the OS. Like Android or iOS 4.

I really enjoy the interface. The possibilities for app previews is amazing. I also see crazy potential on a tablet.

It is standardized across the OS. Check out the article that NvisioN is talking about and you'll see some examples. Also, all the apps that they've shown off are also using the same interface elements.

I think its too late for any product to get into the tablet market with the iPad's popularity. I'm not saying it can't be done but its going to be hard.

But it would give Apple a run for its money.

I guess I'm use to more of an iOS interface in which things are more "squarish."

And I don't like the long App list.

But I want to see it in a store first.

Did you even see the WP7 UI? Everything is all big squares.

"Weirdly, that same area up top is used to show your signal, battery, and WiFi status, but it only drops down if you touch or swipe the upper part of the screen. And in some apps (like pictures) it doesn't appear at all. We're not sure why Microsoft doesn't want to make that info consistent, but it seems like wasted effort to have to call it up manually."
