I consistantly get drops on the 5ghz radio with this unit. I can run 2.4 with no issues, but 5ghz just craps out all the time. The sad this is that I can get some AMAZING throughput when it will stay on consistantly.
I have even resorted to using DD-WRT to get a little more control over the device. It's gotten significantly better, but I still just don't use my N because it's not stable enough. I'll go from 4-5 "bars" to disconnect.
Just looking to see if any others have had this issue, and if anyone's has a positive solution.

Sounds like something else might be creating some interference. There should be less interference at 5 GHz, but it's still possible that something is creating a problem, like maybe a cordless phone.

Just for kicks and giggles I setup an ad-hoc connection between two of my machines with dual band n adapters, (yes, forcing an N only connection) and was able to keep them up for multiple hours while my third unit with the dual band adapter dropped its connection to the router 3-4 times . *sigh*
Sadly, wish it was as simple as 5ghz dirtyness. Were that the case, I'd see alot of noise in those frequency bands, but it's near silent. I live in a neighborhood with fairly good sized lots too, so not alot of dirty air from neighbors (like in an apartment scenario)
