Question about

Is there DLNA support for the Samsung Nexus S?

Several sites claim that this phone has got DLNA support. I have had it for a month now and explored most functions, but I cannot find any integrated DLNA/UPNP support in form of functions of applications. Could it be that it simply has support for 3rd party DLNA-applications?

(I have the non-US version i9023, but that should not affect the DLNA-support.)

You're right, while the nexus s does have hardware support for DLNA, there's no integrated software that supports it. 3rd party applications will work though. I've found that 2player https://market.android.com/details?id=com.twoplay....
works quite well.

The DLNA support might refer to the phone acting as the client and not the server.

didn't know it had native support!
I've been using a few 3rd party apps (Twonky, iMediaShare,2Player...). Tend to prefer Twonky because of AirPlay, and now WebDav.

Natively there is no DLNA support. However, third party apps do support it. I'm using DoubleTwist and AirTwist, which gives me Wifi syncing, DLNA support, uPnP support, and AirPlay (I think).
