I am upgrading from iphone 3g, and already have 3gs and 4s. Deciding which one i am going to unbox and use.

The 4S is exponentially better. It has Siri, a way better camera, way better screen, comes out of the box with a way better operating system. There's just no question. Unbox the 4S and never look back.

I'd definitely go with the 4s! It's a huge step up from the 3GS in terms of speed, display quality/resolution as well as camera quality. I just swapped my 3GS for a 4a and didn't regret it for a second.

both NotHotWater and ralfmuel are right. I upgraded from my 3GS to a 4S and haven't looked back. My 3GS is just a paper weight now.
The biggest thing you will notice is speed, and the clarity of the screen. Siri is slightly useless (unless you drive a lot), but my favorite part is the Camera. It takes great pictures, not just for a phone, but as a camera. Going through my iPhoto it's instantly apparent which ones we're taken on the 3GS to the 4S.
Also, do you REALLY want a 2 year old phone? when you have a brand new one?

I have to agree with ajcohen, ralfmuell, and NotHotWater on this. The iPhone 4S just offers a better user experience. The A5 processor is fast, the camera is amazing, and the retina display is beautiful to look at. I love the iOS 5 notifications and found Siri to be pretty accurate in most situations.

Definitely the 4s. I upgraded to the 4s from a 4 and haven't regretted it. It's faster, Siri is a fun, sometimes useful gadget but not quite ready for prime time. I've been into digital photography for some time therefore I think the new 8Mp camera 4s is worth the upgrade. It's Carl Zeiss lens make it superior to the 8Mp camera in some of the Android cellphones. Especially with the HDR apps.
