Is there any way to see the transfer speed of files over AirDrop?

I'm transferring a couple files from one computer to another using AirDrop and I'd like to know if there is an easy way to see:
  1. Amount left to transfer (Estimated time and file size)
  2. Amount transfer so far (file size)
  3. Speed of transfer
The closet thing to any of these that I've seen on my computer is the ring around the other computer in AirDrop. I also read this post( www.maclife.com­/article­/howtos­/6­_tips­_and­_tricks­_u... ) that says I can see the download bar in my Dock, but this only works on the recipient computer. Probably the best response was on the Apple StackExchange which suggested looking at network activity(not exactly the friendliest of options and only shows transfer speed).
