Unfortunately the only sound settings (which don't change regardless of whether the bluetooth device is connected or not) are for media, ringer, etc. The media slider is already at the top (and quite loud in wired headphones).
Similarly, the volume controls on the headphones are maxed out as well, and sound nice and loud when powered by my other android devices (xoom, galaxy tab, Samsung Captivate).

I was hoping there's a secret keypad command that gets you into the hardware settings (as I recall the case being on my previous non-Android phones), that allow you to explicitly set the db levels. I mean, these settings MUST exist, and someone MUST have access to them... it's just a matter figuring out how to get to them.

Hmm... On my D2 once the BT headset is connected and media is playing then the BT volume comes up when I press the volume rocker. I just realized that you posted this for the X2 though, so you must've just gotten it today, yeah? That has a new version of Blur on it, but I can't imagine them getting rid of the Bluetooth Headset volume option (although it is Moto).

I'm actually on the DroidX, I was assuming they'd all have the same underlying guts, but perhaps not.

The DX and D2 are very similar, but the DX and DX2 are a little different. New processor, new screen, new chassis, etc.
