Is there any chance Apple will opt for AMD processors to power its MACs?
There's always a chance, I'd say it's somewhere south of 1% though. Apple's more likely to move to ARM and entirely away from x86 than to move within x86 from Intel to AMD.

I don't think it's likely. However, if they don't move to ARM; AMD's fusion APU's would be a good move for the Mac Book line.
That would damage their brand image if they went with a different manufacturer for their budget line. It would also make twice as much work configuring OSX to work. If they just keep recycling the same C2D for a while doing incremental refreshes it's a lot easier to make sure OSX doesn't have any conflicts.
