Is there an iTunes type Program out there for Android devices?

Love it or hate it iTunes does one thing well and that allows to manage your Movies, TV Shows, Music, Applications, Podcasts, Books and Audio Books in fairly simple to use application on a PC or a MAC. Yes i know its bloatware, and it ties you into Apples eco system but its one single place to manage everything on your iPhone or iPad.

now my question for every one out there is there something like iTunes that lets you manage all the same content for your android devices and if so what is it?

I've been using Google Music to manage the music on my phone. I prefer to have them stored on the phone since I have lots of space and would prefer to save the battery from streaming them, so any music I add to Google Music I add to a playlist I have marked as "Offline" in the Google Music app.

The closest I've seen is doubletwist, but it's really not much better than dragging your music folder over to your phone. While it will selective sync playlists, it won't sync the podcasts in iTunes, you have to use it's directory of podcasts.

tl:dr There are some options but I still have an iPod.

The Android strategy for the most part is to avoid the use of desktop clients and just use the Online Cloud for buying music, books, apps, etc through the Android market (market.android.com for everything or individually @ music.google.com, books.google.com, etc...).

It felt weird at first, but I honestly love it now. It just makes things more convenient and I feel its better than iTunes. In-fact, Apple seems to be headed the same route with iCloud. By next year, I expect them to make a web version of iTunes similar to the way Google has done theirs.

Check out Winamp Media Player! It is great for syncing media for devices including android phones! (you can also try using Windows Media Player which works nicely)

Tried double twist and works pretty good for Music and that's good that it has a way to address podcasts. i just wish for over the air syncing you didn't have to buy that feature.
