Yes, there is a cable that does it too, I googled it, looks like about $2.

If you find any devices you need to read the description carefully to make sure it will work. Some of the devices I've seen that might just be a cable will only work with specific video cards. Additionally the active converter might only work in one direction meaning it will take HDMI and convert it to VGA to be used on a projector, not the other way around.
