Question about
Is there a way, either through 3rd party app, gpedit.
msc, or otherwise to do the following(all were done in XP via File-Ex by Cottonwood SW): (1)for each app, system remembers last directory for Open/Save Dialog Boxes--File-Ex displays dropdown list of last many such directories; (2)have capability to specify favorite such dir's, both for each app & globally; (3)make Detail View default for *all* Open/Save DB's. If you remember Mac OS9, a similar program was called Boomerang. This is very important function, as O/S DB's are used very often. File-Ex has not been updated for Win 7.
I'm writing a comment in the hopes someone, somewhere, has thought about and solved this problem. There has to be a way of getting around having to manually re-navigate back to a directory you've used before v
