Question about
Is there a simple way to remove default android apps from a Verizon phone?
As many of you probably know, Verizon ships their android phones with a bunch of bloatware apps (e.g. Blockbuster app), and I'd like to strip them off of my girlfriend's phone. Is there a simple way to do this that doesn't involve rooting the device? I've tried the obvious routes (application settings, trying to remove the .apk files from the device while plugged in, etc).

It won't actually remove them from ROM, but if you install a third-party launcher like LauncherPro (which I highly recommend), it'll let you completely hide individual apps from the app drawer.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way without rooting it.

Not without rooting it, but you can hide them to get them out of your way.
