Is there a decent podcast management app for the iPad?

I listen to a lot of podcasts and find myself using Podcaster to manage and download everything I want to listen to -- I just cannot stand using iTunes for this. (I know based on a previous discussion, the primary reason a lot of gdgt users sync their devices to iTunes is because of podcast management.)

Are there any decent apps that allow me to do this on the iPad? I know I wouldn't be able to keep things necessarily in sync between both devices, but it'd be nice to have some sort of full screen view for this.

At the moment, it looks like my current options or either Podcaster or Instacaster running at 2x on the iPad (bleck). Any ideas?

I use Downcast. It works at full res. on the iPad. It may be the app you are looking for.

Wireless iTunes syncing is now a feature of the upcoming iOS 5. This will greatly improve the podcast experience for myself and will basically eliminate the need for Podcaster or other third party applications.

I like iCatcher for the iPad. It does audio and video podcasts and can download them for you on a schedule. It's universal and looks good on the small and large screen. It's not free, but I think it's worth the $2.

Shifty Jelly makes a good one called Pocket Cast. I use it every day.

Instacast is the best. I've tried them all! (itunes.apple.com/us/app/instacast/id420368235?mt=8)

It changes how you think about 'downloading' -- and encourages more streaming. Also helps you find other podcasts you may like. Oh and you can import / export OMPL files to dropbox / email. I'm gonna stop there.

(I'm assuming you're just doing audio, not video as well... don't see how 2x instacast would be a problem)

+`1 for Stitcher... but I do find it is somewhat small in it's selection.

Personally this is one of the reasons I have stuck with android. The market has several applications for managing podcasts; I primarily use Google Listen, but there are many others.

When it comes to iOS, I think Stitcher for iPhone/iPad is your best choice. Good luck.

Stitcher is absolutely the best app for two types of podcasts. 1) Audio 2) Shows that are on Stitcher.

My biggest complaint is that a lot of the shows I like are either better as a video podcast or are simply not listed in Stitchers directory so I am forced to use at least 2 podcatchers. I vastly prefer using Stitcher when I can, but otherwise I use Instacast which is also great.
