Question about
Is the recent push for Blackberry OS 7 Enough?
With the recent addition of the two Torch models and the Iconic 9900/9930 models, will RIM be able to survive until they can release a QNX phone next year? Has the RIM corner of the market finally died and moved on?

As a consumer device manufacturer, RIM is in cardiac arrest. It is looking like QNX is already too little too late. The question is just how niche RIM is going to end up being.
There is still life for RIM in the corporate space. However, even that may not be enough when businesses learn that their employees just won't carry two phones with them all the time. Given the choice, the employees will leave those "business-only" blackberries in their cars, at home or even at the office. The promise of a "free" company mobile phone no longer appeals to many.
Expanding device support for BES looks like RIM's only long-term business opportunity, and even that is in jeopardy if more businesses opt for the lowest possible cost in generic email services.

BB OS7 isn't a game changer. The 9900 is great but it's not better than the 9780 on the business side. I mean BES+BlackBerry is the best to manage email on a mobile device. But BB7 doesn't improve on that. It's faster anyway.
The game changer will be the move from apps to real mobile web. Why waste money on 3 apps for 3 platforms if you can publish only one mobile web site?
