I have a Xoom, Transformer, & iPad 2. After using the two Android devices, the iPad 2 seems so much more smooth & iOS gets out of the way. However, I like the Androids as well. I use my transformer at work with the keyboard dock to answer personal (Gmail) emails and keep up to date on Twitter. I like the feel of the Xoom better than the Transformer though. It's significantly heavier and feels like a tank. With the new 3.1 update that I just got tonight, I can pair it with a BT Keyboard & mouse & get the same functionality as the Transformer... Just not in a tight & pretty package.

IPS screen, keyboard dock and bang/buck ratio makes it the best buy in my book.

Is it me or am I the only one who's ready for all the constant leapfrogging to stop long enough to purchase a tablet. I know, I know...this is the nature of competition and refinement. Tablets are in a progressive/iterative new (fairly new) market segment, but dang it...I feel like as soon as I were to lay down some dough on a tablet it'd already be obsolete, or dropped from the update cycle. As soon as I get excited about the bleeding edge...ooh ooh...wait...Brand X is the one to beat.

Sincerely,
Non-Early Adopter

I think the Samsung Tab 10.1 might be the new one to beat ...

I don't think so though it's not even really out yet either so who knows what accessories are coming. You could also do a BT keyboard. Not as slick of course, but functional.

Currently it seems like the top contender. Preorders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 just started today though.

My only tablet is the 16 gb transformer. It feels sluggish and unrefined as compared to iOS. I like the dock option and the platform. Give many more low cost apps without rooting the device. I think once honeycomb cat he's up in the stable world, it should be the premier tablet in the world because of the upgradability and customizability as well as the expandability.

Asus is a good name even if it isn't designed in California and made in china, although it probably is made in china.
