Think about it... the phone probably has a hard plastic bezel. Combined with a curved display, I would imagine its virtually impossible for the glass to make direct contact with a flat surface.
Sure, with enough force the energy can transfer to the glass a number of ways to shatter it. But I'm thinking the display is probably protected from MOST everyday falls. Thoughts? How does this theory pan out with the Nexus S?
PS: I'm only interested in discussing shatter from everyday drops. I'm sure we're all creative enough to shatter a curve glass display in other ways.
Question about
Is Nexus Prime's glass display virtually shatterproof?
I think the curve will help with scratches, but I think the curve might cause a little more flex, which to me is the bigger cause of shattered screens.

having a Nexus S with no screen cover since Dec 2010, I can say that the curved glass does help on everyday drops. I have 2 small scratches on my phone's screen which both came from the phone falling out of my shorts pocket and down the side of my car. I don't think the curved glass could stop that.
BTW, I don't drop my phone often and rarely has it been on a hard surface.
