Question about
Is it worth it or is the flip screen just a gimmick?
Is the camera any good and is it worth the £250/$250 price point? Is the flip screen just a gimmick or does it make the user experience any better? What cameras are a better purchase for the same money?

Phippo's pick
I'm a casual photo-taker and there were very few times where I wish I had an articulating display on my camera. The only times where I think this would be useful is if you're in a large crowd and you want to lift the camera high, but still see what you have in frame. Or if you want to take picture of stuff from a lower perspective where you hold the camera close to the ground. Looks like with this camera, it can actually flip the screen to face forward, so if you like taking self-portraits, that might be useful.
If it were me, I'd just get a normal camera, save a few bucks, or just get a different camera that might have better low light performance in this price range.
