Question about
Is it really as comfortable to type on as some reviews suggest?
It looks like a very comfortable keypad, which is important to me for texting. I don't plan on using the Facebook features much, in fact I won't really be utilizing much of the smartphone features most of the time, I'm just looking at replacing my Nokia C5 which has the most comfortable standard keypad out there (at least from all the ones I've researched and physically tried).
It is as comfortable as a tiny portrait QWERTY can be. I think that the Pre had a pretty comfortable keyboard too for its size. However, I still think that a landscape QWERTY makes more sense.
If you're considering this phone, you might want to browse the other low end smartphones because you'll find that they offer you a lot more features and speed at little to no extra cost.

I think if you have big fingers, it may be a challenge to type on it. I've been using it for the past week and so far it has been one of the BEST android portrait QWERTY keyboards (my preference over landscape) on the market IMHO. I think BB QWERTY phones are still the best (but I don't like the OS). Its better than the Pre & Pixi keyboards given that the Chacha has a good weight & balance to it.
Better give it a try first in your local AT&T store before deciding to buy it.
