Is it possible to use both a Apple Trackpad and a mouse with Lion?
With the increased use gestures in Lion a trackpad seems like a very useful accessory but could I also plug in a usb mouse and use both at the same time without having to go into settings to change things?

You can use both a Trackpad and a mouse. The only issue I've had is that the new reverse scrolling feels wrong on a mouse with a wheel and you can't have different settings for each.

Yes, it has always been possible to use multiple pointing devices at the same time. You will have no problem using both a mouse and the Magic Touchpad.
