You should be able to. I was looking around online and if you login to your routers admin panel you should be able to edit the DNS as seen on this page (screenshots.portforward.com/Dlink/DSL-254OU/Dynami...)

What you want to do is set a different IP address for facebook.com, you could use 127.0.0.1 which would route back to your computer. This would effectively prevent access to facebook. There are probably higher level solutions depending on your browser and operating system.

Here are windows solutions:

The second solution is the same as mine - though mine is at the router level rather than the computer level.

I would highly recommend using www.opendns.com/ on any router for this purpose. You setup OpenDNS as the DNS provider in the router, and all computers behind the router will use OpenDNS by default. You can then create an account on OpenDNS' website and from there you can configure domains to block, and many other custom features.

Inorder for this system to work, OpenDNS needs to know the public IP address of your router, which may change over time. You then use either a program running on a system that is on frequently in your home to update OpenDNS with your public IP address, or if your router supports it, you can use DNS-O-Matic and configure that in your router to automatically update OpenDNS with your public IP Address.

This is a little complicated, but it works well on any router for all of your devices, including mobile devices on your WiFi.
