My battery seems to be working just as before. I can last an entire day with liberal use.

I've been getting shorter battery life overall as well. I really hope that Verizon fixes this soon (aka before August). I'm tempted to go back to a custom ROM, as this is the longest I've been on stock motoblur.

I actually have better battery life now, thinking of putting on CM7 soon!

Battery life on the X is just as bad as any other Android phone; HORRIBLE. That said, there are ROMs that will help you increase your battery life.

i.e. I use Liberty GB v0.9 (yup, a beta); and one of my best friends (with a Droid X as well, on the same carrier, giving the phone pretty much the same usage) runs Apex 2. His battery lasts throughout the day NO PROBLEM; and mine, well, if I don't plug it in during work; it wouldn't. And its not as if my battery is crappier; we've switched battery packs, and we got the same result.

The best (and, arguably, the only) way of *really* increasing your battery life, is to use the Android Power Widget, and turn your screen brightness as low as you can.

I was getting no joke 3 hours if I was lucky. After tweaking things without better results I bought the extended battery and I get about 7 or 8 depending on how much I use it. Your mileage may vary

@mlaan holy sh*t man, 3 hours?! What ROM where you on? WTF?! And, which battery did you get? Stock battery is what? 1500mAh? If I'm not mistaken, you can fit a 1850mAh without changing the cover (even though that battery does come with one, and most cases can deal with that one). Ive even heard of clunky 4000mAh.
