iPhone 3G doesn't charge

My iPhone 3G is 4months old , but sometimes after installing iPhone OS 3.0 ,my iPhone doesn't charge.The back cover gets hot and after my iPhone become cold it then recharge.

Mine is almost a year old and it has been doing that for a few months now. Since 2.2.1 actually. :-/

You should both should just call up and get them replaced. They'll classify the overheating as a "health and safety issue" and get you new phones, well if they have any common sense and want to avoid people suing them then that's what they'll class it as.

If you are experiencing the problem after updating to OS 3.0, it might be a software issue. I too had the same issues but managed to fix it with a hard reset and wiping of settings

I've had my 3G refuse to charge a few times, and a reboot fixed the problem.
