iMac Memory

I was looking on Newegg.com about to buy two 4gig memory sticks. I went to support.apple.com/kb/ht1423#1 to check again what type to buy and I see that it is 2011 (27in iMac) to get a 1333mhz DDR3. But then 200 pin. Do they make a DDR3 200 pin? I thought it went to 204 pin when DDR3 come out?

Any thoughts on what Memory to get I was just going to go mid range and get up to use the two 2gigs that are in there and add two 4gigs to make 12.

I took a screen shot of this and was going to post it in the question but I did not see away any thoughts on that too?

I purchased a 16GB kit from Crucial a couple of months ago when I ordered my iMac. My order was the following:

2-8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM Upgrade for a Apple iMac 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel-Core i7 (27-inch - DDR3) Mid 2011 System

As you can see It is indeed the 204-Pin.

2 months later, they are working well!

Just last month I upgraded my 27" iMac memory. I did what you are planning, added 8GB to the existing 4GB. Everything is working perfectly. I'm pretty sure 200 pin is DDR or DDR2 memory.

From www.crucial.com (I love Crucial).
