Do people really buy stuff like this because it looks like the computer they really want?

I was in Best Buy the other day and a salesperson tried to show me a Sony also modeled after a MacBook Pro. I never mentioned any interest or even knowledge of the MBP but he mentioned it four times in describing the Sony.

The 15z is certainly slick. I really wish they could have found a way to make it a little thinner, and lighter, and not have that silly lip on the back, but to each his own. I would totally think about getting this if it wasn't almost 6 pounds and heavier than my current MBP.

The components are nice though. :D

I don't know about you, but I think the Dell XPS 15z looks completely different.
