Question about
cass

I've been using Ubuntu as my main machine for a few weeks now and it's been great except for two things that have been giving me problems:

- Gchat does not connect through Empathy. For some reason, it never works for me and gives this message: "Disconnected - No reason specified". So frustrating!
- Resizing a window is like threading a needle. The padding area (not sure if that is the right work) where you need to place your mouse to resize is so narrow, I always miss it.

Anyone have suggestions on how to fix these two issues?

I usually just go to the top (window title bar) and right click -> resize. You can then drag the window in any direction to change dimensions.

O, resizing the windows in gnome is pain until you learn how to do that.
1. Point your mouse cursor anywhere inside windows content.
2. Now hold on your "Alt" key and click the middle button of the mouse (scroller)
3. Voila! You're free to resize your windows easier then ever.
