A friend of mine broke the dongle on his Logitech mouse. He contacted Logitech and they sent him a new one for free.

If you have the Performance MX mouse, then another solution is to buy another device with the "unifying receiver." It'll support both devices :)
But contacting Logitech is probably better (certainly cheaper :) ).
