Question about
seeARMS

I'm interested in purchasing the HTC Legend from Virgin Mobile in Canada.

It recently launched, and it looks like a great, cheap alternative to the Milestone (Canada's version of the Droid.) However, I do not want to pay 50 dollars a month for a data plan I'm never going to use... Would I be able to purchase the Legend with the voice plan for $25/mo, or would I be required to purchase a data plan with it?

Ideally, I'd sign onto a 3 year contract paying $25/mo for only the voice plan. I have WiFi at home, so I'd be able to browse the internet and such at my house, which is only what I'd need.

Don't bother. I've been using the Legend now for 3 or so months, since Vodafone UK sent me the device in error, instead of a replacement for my TouchPro2.

The reception is awful, the battery life is insufferable and the overall experience is likely to put you off using an Android phone.

My advise is to avoid the phone, specially in Canada where the carriers tie you down for such long periods (I can still get 12 month contracts here in the UK)

I've read reports on Howardforums and redflagdeals that say the $25 plan should work just fine. I'm thinking of trying to buy one outright without any plan myself.
