Question about
Sweed

I'm having trouble with the Facebook and Twitter apps.

Facebook works, but when I click on the notification icon, my notifications never show up, it just loads forever.
Twitter synced my timeline normally the first time I used it, but since then I keep getting an error message that says :Oops, something went wrong. We can't load this data due to an external error. please try again shortly." I get the message again if I try to refresh.
Am I the only one who's experiencing this?
any ideas?

I just opened up my Zune software and it appears there's updates to the Facebook and Twitter applications, plus a couple new games, so you may try that to see if that fixes your problem. I noticed the same thing myself a week ago with the Facebook and Twitter apps and will see if this fixes this.

Facebook and Twitter updated their APIs. The apps need to be updated to reflect this. They will remain broken until Microsoft updates the apps.

If you ask me this is just not the device for apps. I bought my Zune HD purely for the audio/video quality.

I just installed both twitter and facebook apps two days ago and they work fine. Just prior to that I downloaded the latest Zune firmware v.4.5 (109) and bootloader (109). I'm running twitter app v. 1.4 (5/18/2010) and facebook app v. 1.1 (3/1/2010). What version are you running into trouble with?
